Your clients need you. They need your experience, advice and leadership.
If you are unsure about how, or you don’t have time to communicate with your clients, ask for help.
During the Global Financial Crisis, we witnessed first hand how the lack of communication and reassurance from business owners and professionals resulted in the loss of their client’s trust.
If you need help, we have experience and expertise to share. For example, here’s how we’ve been helping some of our clients:
Reassuring email
We helped a leading property consultancy to compose an email from the managing director. It reassured clients that despite the challenges, the business was sound and well positioned to continue helping them to achieve their property goals. We also posted the message to social media.
Customising ‘templated’ documents
A Brisbane financial adviser picked the eyes out of information supplied by the Government and we prepared a document, uploaded it to their website and social media, wrote a cover email message in their ‘voice’ offering information as well understanding and reassurance while they worked on other priorities.
Bespoke information
An accountant in Sydney prepared a detailed overview of facts that we reviewed, professionally presented and distributed to their clients on email and posted to social media. A major business institute was so impressed they asked if they could have a copy to share with their members.
Retail reset
A leading flooring and interiors retailer needed to close their doors (for now) and rather than cancel their marketing entirely, we prepared an affordable social media program to keep them connected to their customers and showcase their products and services. We’re also implementing a lighthearted social media program that’s helping a luxury trike motorcycle operator stay in touch with his niche community by posting plenty of reasons to look forward to being back on the road.
Video messages
An multi-disciplinary financial services firm in Victoria, whose telephones were seriously interrupted when the first stimulus package was announced, turned to Zoom to create a video message. We uploaded it to their YouTube account, posted it to social media, prepared it as a Mailchimp email, wrote a cover message and sent it to their clients and others whom they couldn’t contact by phone. Not surprisingly, the email delivery reports showed almost immediate openings. We’ve prepared numerous updates using the same approach since.
The thing is, none of these clients hesitated.
They didn’t create a special script or set up a video backdrop, they simply used what was available and we quickly finessed it and ensured their valuable and reassuring communications were distributed to their clients.
Importantly, all the businesses in the examples here understand the importance of staying in contact with their clients in a meaningful way. They know that when this situation inevitably passes, they will be known as a business that stayed in touch and stuck by their clients.
If YOU need help to stay connected to your clients…
…we can work out a special circumstances short-term communication program that does the heavy lifting for you. If you’re worried about cost, don’t be – it’ll be fair and affordable.
