Michelle is our marketing all-rounder, bringing more than 15 years’ experience in marketing, PR, events, business development and social media. She brings particular experience in managing marketing communications for clients in property development, construction, law, health, education and the arts.
As a qualified journalist, Michelle is adept at writing original and bespoke content for blogs, e-newsletters, social media, strategic SEO copy, award submissions and tenders, as well as traditional media.
Michelle is in fact a previous member of the Bold! team, having joined Wendy back in 2009 as a marketing assistant before moving to Brisbane to pursue roles at the Urban Development Institute of Australia and law firm Cooper Grace Ward.
After 10 years working in in-house marketing roles, Michelle set out on her own as a freelance copywriter, establishing her own business. This saw her engaged in a range of projects for clients including property developers, creative agencies, online course providers and retail and hospitality businesses.
Since re-joining the Bold team in 2021, Michelle has been thrilled to have the opportunity to expand her skillset and manage strategic marketing communications programs for clients in accounting, financial services and architecture, from concept through to completion.
Michelle enjoys taking a collaborative approach toward helping businesses achieve their marketing objectives. She loves learning about different businesses and the way they bring value to their clients, and then helping them to articulate and celebrate their achievements.
She is calm and efficient, and favours clear and simple styles of communication – not always easy when you’re dealing with highly technical subject matter!
Michelle holds a Bachelor of Journalism/Arts from the University of Queensland, with majors in Psychology and Film and Television Studies. She is currently a Board Member for the Nambour Chamber of Commerce.
Personally…
Michelle has moved around over the years but has always called South East Queensland home. She was born on the Gold Coast, raised on the Sunshine Coast, studied and worked in Brisbane, owned her first home in Ipswich and is now back in the place that most feels like home – the Sunshine Coast.
Michelle and her partner Aaron and their two daughters have settled in Nambour and are keen supporters of the area’s renewal and transition. She has a strong interest in the arts and entertainment world, and is keen to help support Nambour’s development as a Special Entertainment Precinct.
